      TL;DR

Maccabi Tel Aviv Fans we’re involved in a riot this weekend ahead of the Tel Aviv derby which lead to police officers being hospitalised as well as the game getting called off.

This was just days after Starmer and others had spoken out against the decision to prevent MTA fans from being allowed to attend a match against Aston Villa.

Ayoub Khan got a lot of flack for his stance defending the decision and after seeing the behaviour of the MTA fans this weekend, he’s feeling pretty vindicated in his belief that they shouldn’t attend.

    2. The entire political class have truly embarrassed themselves over this, absolute mess. No need for anyone to get involved yet they did and within days they’ve been made to look fools. If Starmer had it his way we’d have those riots over here all in the name of being scared to look anti semetic

Edit: Almost the entire political class

“This was never about religion, it was always about hooligans and I am confident that you knew this deep down”

Hard to argue with him on that

I think Aston Villa and their fans deserve a public apology. We had our area and friends labelled as no go areas, we were accused of being anti semitic…all for listening to the safety advisor and the police (measures brought in to prevent unsafe scenarios)

starmer should publicly apologise to the west midlands police for seeking to undermine them. what a disgraceful embarrassment he is.

As he should. Need to put the pressure on all these politicians bending to want these racist thugs on our street

When Starmer injected himself into this situation I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t believe that none of his advisers told him to stay out of it and if asked just say that this is a Policing Issue and that he 100% supports them.

This just again shows that he has no Political Instincts which is an awful failing for somebody who is a leader of a country.

    8. Obvious own goal. Miliband’s comments that ‚Villa Park cannot become a no go area for Jews‘ is looking evermore ridiculous as time goes on. Reminds me alot of that old BNP line about ’no go areas for whites‘, as ridiculous then as it is now.

I’m not experienced enough in the topic. Are we saying this teams fans are uniquely worse than say Italian ultras that stabbed my mate?

Or Russian ultras who are pretty nuts.

      Or even millwall?

Or is this just a protest cause they’re Israeli.

No beef with teams being banned but if we’re going to ban nationalities we should be doing it wholesale not piece meal.

    10. whatever the situation, starmer will stand on the only rake on the lawn, look surprised, then stomp harder on the same rake.
