Now is an excellent opportunity to create crown corporations to incite activity in EV manufacturing and other technologies. We can get non-American web services including Canadian enterprise services that are not subject to the American Patriot Act, and resistant to surveillance of PRISM or the NSA. US hegemony has not turned out to be as friendly to Canada as we were promised.

You’d think a government that likes to talk a lot about “investments” and “innovating” would want to actually attract this talent, but no. Instead let’s just gut our services and cut taxes for the very wealthy and big corporations.

It’s such a good investment with massive returns. The paragraph really speaks for itself. If Carney is really the genius economist and “man for the moment” that Liberals have been telling us then he’ll make this investment. But the fact they won’t even talk about it speaks volumes. I’m not holding my breath.
