I really wish they would stop using the phrase „melt down“.

No one is turning from solid to liquid.

There was no violence so naturally they need to keep beating the “hate America” drum. If they stopped lying they’d be as silent as monks.

Hey maga, there’s only one “hate America” party, and it’s yours.

I kind of want to hear „the right“ give an opinion on the AI King Trump fighter jet thing.

Not Bubba from Florida necessarily, but a lawyer from Memphis or maybe a Congress person.

      Doesn’t matter. CONGRESS matters.

Do your job! IMPEACH AND REMOVE Donald Trump.

      TTC! Third-time-charmed!

Absolutely no respect for presidential decorum or the American people. My family attended a protest yesterday. People were friendly, well-behaved, and unapologetically patriotic. There were funny signs, costumes, and many, many American flags. There was anger, yes, but there was also purpose and engagement at levels I haven’t seen in awhile, and it’s about damn time. I’m glad to have been a part of it.

Groceries and household sundries are out of sight expensive, health care premiums are skyrocketing, federal employees are losing their jobs with no rhyme or reason, respected flag officers are resigning, the right to due process has been upended, grants for essential research are being gutted, farmers are going broke, preventable diseases are spreading, and on and on and on. We are fed up. This administration and the GOP members supporting it are toxic. They have to go.

They’re upset because no Republican could incite a civil war. There was simply no way you could in crowds of that size – you are literally the minority and completely outmatched.

Not without looking like a massive fucking tool and being ostracized forever.

    7. Next time the peaceful crowds will be even bigger. Resign trump and self exile to Russia , and take your administration with you:

    8. Is this finally it? Will this video of Trump wearing a crown, (probably one handed out at some fast food dispensary) dropping shit on Americans exercising their right to protest to address their grievances?

Will this finally break the MAGA fever?

      No, probably not.

    9. They are upset that the protests didn’t turn violent. They really wanted to use this as an excuse to escalate authoritarian control.

    10. I wonder how they would react if the next demonstration had 9 million or more.

There were a few important things I noticed:

      1. Every demographic was in attendance in significant numbers.

      2. Less cops. They knew the protests weren’t going to be violent and just had a token force. They spent their resources wisely.

      3. Much better news coverage.

      4. An attitude shift. All the cool kids were there. Many people who didn’t go are going to feel like they missed something.

The next phase is organizing all of these people and getting them to take action.

    12. Anyone else feel like they’re being squashed on threads? I can’t get my post to go through and getting no response from thread support.? Anyone

”Trump posted an AI video of himself dropping raw sewage on the protesters from a plane.”

Really? You can’t call it what it obviously was? I guess this is another step in media’s “enshittification”.

NYPD publicly posted on their official social channels that they made zero protest related arrests. So much for the “war torn city riots” narrative. I’m sure fox news is showing old footage from Europe and gas lighting

    15. CrotasScrota84 on

Who would have thought the narrative on Fox News and Congress wouldn’t be accurate?

Johnson should calm himself by holding his adopted adult son tightly in his arms, grasping, squeezing, feeling his throbbing Holy Spirit.

    17. Did someone recently checked on the conservative subs? Their main arguments vs no kings protests are : kamala, hunter biden, they won the election. It’s two different realities.

    18. Can we ban all headlines that contain any variation of „melting down?“

„X is MELTING DOWN over Y!!!1“ is so overused as to be completely meaningless at this point. Reminds me of the old „So and so EVISCERATES other guy“ headlines of the 2010s where it would just be a clip or screenshot some person voicing mildly harsh criticism.

    19. Flashy_Ground_4780 on

Enough of the hyperbolic headlines, the protests were well attended… it makes them nervous, but nobody is melting down

    20. He has to wait till tomorrow for the usual Fox fellatists to make him feel better. it’s going to be a long wait for him – there will be rage-tweeting tonight!

    21. Wait, Johnson thinks Chuck Schumer planned the protests as a “stunt”? Haha… wait, he’s serious? He thinks that Chuck Schumer, the man whose idea of taking the gloves off is to write a very strongly worded letter, planned a political protest to fight authoritarianism?

Chuck Schumer would have just sent a post card that read “Wish you were here” with a picture of the constitution, and he would have thought it would be a real zinger to Trump when he figures out the meaning. His political attacks are like a weak grandpa’s pranks. “I switched out the two-ply… for three-ply!! It’s so much softer, he won’t know what hit him.”

    22. NotTheRightHDMIPort on

I want to point out how effective it is to show classic patriotic imagery.

American flags and referencing our founding principals is top notch.

Showing your patriotis while being strongly against the Trump regime is very positive.

    23. So he’s literally shitting on the American people and MAGA is fine with that?

    24. CurrentlyLucid on

Multiply that 7 million that showed up by all the ones who could not or did not go, and feel exactly like the protestors.
