Attacking her is all they have. No vision, no message, no aspirations.

Maybe one more attack will do the trick guys? Just one more?
Connolly is winning because despite all of her faults she’s mainly focused on running a solid campaign, crazy idea right.

> You’re not pro-EU if you stand against every Treaty which has built the Union over the last quarter of a century
Do they not realise that the Irish public voted against EU treaties? It makes them seem out of touch. The EU isn’t some sacrosanct institution that is above criticism. In fact a healthy democracy needs criticism, which the Irish people exercised when we voted against the Lisbon Treaty and got it amended.

To be fair both sides are smearing rhe other especially online. This is the slurry tank of elections.

Hopefully this is the start of a united left alliance against FFG.
It’s our best chance at fixing the housing crisis because all FFG have done for 15 years is make it worse.
I would never love to vote for SF but I’d do it if they were supported by Labour, the Social Democrats and the Greens.

I’m sick of this goverment they are running us to the ground and they have no vision just a petty attempt to destroy any attempt at change
FF/FG are cancerous to our republic and we need new parties and visions

What’s hilarious about all this is, imagine the FF or FG candidate worked for a bank on repossession cases, the meltdown those defending Connolly would be having about it.
It just goes to show they are all hypocritical cunts.
For what it’s worth personally the fact Connolly was able to put her personal views aside and do the job she was paid to do is a good thing and a massive part of the role of president.

Jesus christ, its almost like they want her to win.

Gonna get real ugly this week it looks like.
What a dignified campaign.

This is starting to turn quickly into a referendum on Connolly as president. Fine Gael have really screwed this one

Fine Gaels candidate is so weak that they can’t talk up their candidate, but all they can do is put down others.
Fg/ff arrogance and entitlement is not than enough reason to vote for Connolly. They are really showing their true colours

If I knew what her friend planned to do with the guns I would feel more informed about voting for Catherine.
Is it on record what the guns were for?.Is asking this an attack on Catherine?

If you’re frustrated and fed up of FG/FF the best thing you can do to piss them off and get some morsel of satisfaction would be to vote for Connelly.
It’s currently the only form of rebellion that we have.

Well I think it matters what they were for.

FF an FG have this really sickening attitude that the government should be telling the public to do rather than the public telling the government what to do.
They believe they can limit our choices, order us to vote the way they want and then scold us for not doing so. We saw it in the referendums last year and now in the presidential.
They need to understand that they rule with our consent and that we can boot them out if they don’t do the job they are elected for.
