Tony Blair probably would be considered one of the UK’s best PMs had he not done this. This ruined his reputation irreparably.

    2. Spain did not just supported it „politically“ but with military until it was terrorized to not do it.

At that time nobody could predict the consequences, and unfortunately nobody thought about what to do after the war, but lets not forget what kind of a monster was Saddam and his followers.

    3. It doesn’t say *which* Iraq war, but: Joschka Fischer „Excuse me, I am not convinced.“

Probobly because most people realized it was just a reason to take Iraqi oil. There was no WMD and never was. Just an excuse to flex ridiculous military might against a tin pot dictator because Bush was impotent in getting revenge for 911.

    5. WMD myth killed 100s of thousands of, just to settle old scores and Tony Blair got made. Vile, and the uk wmd inspector mysteriously found dead through a suspicious suicide. Doctor Kelly was his name.

To be fair, Sweden and Finland were still neutral at that time. Austria still is, per constitution.

Ironically the iraq war helped iran expand more influence in the middle east. I wondered what would happened had iraq war never happened?

A lot of the Eastern European countries supported it to show their support for the west and America after the fall of communism.

There was nothing to „refuse“ by Austria.

Austria has never been in an alliance with the USA.

The Spanish population did not support the war. The protests were massive and frequent, 90% of the population was against it and I’m not exaggerating.

    12. Someone correct me if i’m wrong, but isn’t this the war that was started by a lie, saying they had weapons of mass destruction?

Which again: Was an war of aggression, an invasion, and as such a crime against humanity.

A lot of anti-Polish posts in this sub, getting sad. There were other countries that sent yet that isnt being presented! Yes 2,000 troops were sent (equals less that 1%). I would love to see if anyone here understands why!!

The map shows the actual invasion phase in March 2003. Only the UK and Poland sent troops at that stage; the rest of the countries either declared support or stayed out. Once Baghdad fell, the countries that had supported the invasion sent forces for peacekeeping. Some got involved in fighting, while others mainly did special operations.
