They telegrahped it very hard. They should not of showed Godolkin so early, that gave the whole thing away.

    2. I think the core problem was setting up Godolkin incorrectly. He was only in the single lab scene at the start. If they had dedicated 5 to 10 minutes creating a backstory for him, creating more of a sympathetic character perhaps with a family, it wouldn’t have been so easy to jump to “Yep, that’s probably the bad guy”.

The show kind of beats you over the head with it. I really thought it was just a case of viewers having more knowledge than the characters and it wasn’t supposed to be a twist to us.

    4. The twist would have been very effective if they made the guy a supe. That was the giveaway, that he can hijack people yet doesn’t have V in his system.

His name was Cipher. He could take mental control of people. They opened the show with Godalkin’s death and “Cipher” was mysteriously taking care of his body. It doesn’t take a genius to put the pieces together.

    6. I don’t really mind when I figure out a twist early cause I enjoy watching the foreshadowing of a reveal. What pisses me off, however, is when the writers realize they showed their hand too quickly and so just does away with all of the foreshadowing and they write a completely obfuscate ending. I will never forgive George for not giving us Darth Binks.

If they figured it out, then it’s not really a twist, it’s simply the plot. Unexpected potlines can be great, without being disappointing..

Eric Kripke underestimating the intelligence of his audience? Never!

I’m like 1/3 of the way through the season and nothing has been spoiled, but I know exactly what it’s talking about.

    10. Maybe I’m dumb but I was caught off guard by the twist, thought it was good

I fuckin hate when writers are like ‘omg they figured it out’ like dude we aren’t fucking idiots. On top of that it should be a compliment because no one was upset and actually loved it. To add to that people are only upset bad hamish is done which was awesome so compliments to your casting department.

    12. Lazy writing thinking he’s super clever with a very obvious twist.

Formulaic shows are “predictable” also enjoyable as you don’t need to think to hard about what’s going on.

The moment Jordan said something about feeling that he was in pain made it rather obvious when there is a literal burn victim

      > I’m well aware that a lot of the fans online have been picking apart the clues and got on the right scent. I give them credit. In the same breath, I’m irritated.

Wow, is this a clickbait title!

Well at least he isn’t JJ Abraham who will torpedo his shows and movies if anyone figures out his twists

    16. Saw godolkin fry in the first episode. Fried dude in a tube, no V in ciphers blood whilst also being called Dr.gold in the past and ja ING the „power“ to control people.

Anyone who hadn’t worked it out was either watching it in the background or skipping large portions of the show.

    17. Lol the same guy who got pissed at spn fans figuring out the ending of season 5?? That same guy?? 🤣😭

It was pretty obvious by the halfway mark that it was just dr. Gold controlling cipher. And he can extend to more than just one person. You’ve gotta be pretty dense to not see it when he takes control of Jordan.
