      I suspect most of Trump’s aides are more alarmed than any of the rest of us. Unfortunately that matters very little.

      This is part of what makes Trump so special. He has the money and influence of a wealthy aristocrat, but at his heart he’s just another old man glued to Fox News 24/7.

      So when he goes on stage and yells about immigrants eating dogs and cats, we laugh and call him senile. His followers though, they see him as the only politician bringing up the real issues they hear about on Fox

      Why? It’s a known fact he set there all day during the Insurrection watching it on Fox News and pouting that the Secret Service wouldn’t take him to it. It’s not surprising to anyone that’s even remotely aware of what’s happened, but then again I guess Trump’s aides aren’t exactly the cream of the crop.

      Trump knows that his voting base is glued to Fox News and his actions need to follow that narrative. I doubt anyone is truly alarmed at the moves, just that Fox News happens to have more power than the cabinet.
