The FBI has arrested Mahmoud Amin Ya’qub al-Muhtadi, a Louisiana resident accused of taking part in the Hamas-led October 7, 2023 attack on Israel. According to a newly unsealed federal complaint, al-Muhtadi helped lead an armed group into southern Israel and later lied on a visa application to enter the U.S. in 2024. Investigators say he was discovered living and working in Lafayette, Louisiana, after an interagency task force traced his digital activity and communications. The Justice Department credits the FBI and several Israeli security agencies with locating and apprehending him.

Incredible to believe that incompetent immigration authorities failed to carry out some half decent security screenings for Palestinians/people from such a volatile region.

Nothing like giving this administration even more reasons to crack down on all immigration.
