It’s already divided is it not ??? Lammy did more to stoke division than anyone when he said that Brexit voters were worse than Nazis …🤷

Putin does like to stir the pot and try and cause fractures within Europe so Lammy is probably not far off in his view.

Labour is just so damn bad at tackling Farage. It’s always Putin this, Trump that, Reform would do this etc etc. Stop talking about Farage and offer the country some damn hope, offer the country a vision. I’ve always said this is the play, and despite completely disagreeing with them on many things, it’s clearly working for the Greens.

    4. Putin, Le Pen, Trump, Maduro, Musk, King Jon Un , the Wetherspoon guy, and probably AI since it doesn’t want alignment and populists and alt-right politicians will help AI taking over most jobs in the next 2 years, by not taking it seriously

As much as I’m not happy with the Labour government, Lammy is correct on this one. Just like the election of Trump in the USA Presidential election last year, Putin would love nothing more than to see the election of a Farage and Reform UK government elected in the U.K.. Putin’s despotic politics is reliant upon sowing global discord and chaos. The classic ‘divide and rule’ playbook.

Who the hell cares what Lammy thinks? This is the man who said calling the Conservatives Nazis wasn’t going far enough.

He’s right. Unfortunately, as we’ve seen in the US that won’t save the incumbent government if they’re not able to convince people they’re capable.

Lammy rolling out the Democrats playbook. Hopefully works as well for him as it did for Hilary, Biden and Kamala.

Mark this post for reference. Next it’ll be unsubstantiated sexual assault claims and eventually they’ll try and get Farage nicked.

Lammy’s go-to method seems to be comparisons with morally reprehensible characters as an attempt to provoke a strong emotional aversion.

It was only two weeks ago he claimed associations with Farage/Brexit voters & Nazism which he subsequently had to apologise for.

I don’t believe the public is naive to this political strategy. I suspect it will have the opposite effect and damage Lammy’s own credibility.

A better strategy is to engage in discussions on policy, which is even more important when you’re in government.

Perhaps Labour should address the issues that Farage says he will before the public make Putin happy then.

It’s that simple. Don’t tell people who not to vote for, show people why they should vote for you.

Labour has atleast 3 years. Make changes or someone else will.

Probably some truth in that. Farage would be an awful PM as he is more about division but tries to hide it under a thin veil of saving the UK.

This is embarrassing for Labour. Since when do we let Putin dictate anything. Farage can just go round saying Hitler wanted Labour to win to Divide Europe.
