People of Chretien’s age lived through the time where the nazis were committing despicable acts and the aftermath of World War 2, he more than most knows exactly what will happen if Trump gets his way.
Ummm.

Also everyone who is taking a page from his playbook and following in his footsteps. I’m looking at you modern CPC. It’s one thing to dislike the Liberals. It’s something to make create a cottage industry of f🍁ck trudeau/carney, out of armed, angry and moderately misinformed people. That way leads to fascism with Canadian tendencies just as surely as Trump is leading the Americans to something closely resembling Mussolinis Italy.
Trump is illiberal and anti democratic. But he’s one of many in today’s world. It’s not good.
