It’s literally part of his job to know this stuff, maybe not exact numbers a the drop of a hat, but generally informed. I HATE that they constantly dodge questions by saying they haven’t done their job. No one ever follows up with, „Isn’t it your job to know that?“, „Why aren’t you up to date on that information?“

Pretty simple to understand what’s going on. In June democrats said the presidents bill was terrible and instead of working with them to create a bipartisan bill republicans just rammed through their budget. Now democrats are meeting republicans “halfway” by requesting one minor change so millions of people don’t die from lack of healthcare, and republicans are refusing to make that one change to the budget. Basically democrats have given a mile, and republicans refuse to give an inch.
Nothing is his lane, he doesn’t know about anything and he hasn’t heard that, whatever that is.
All he seems to know is that Trump is great and Democrats are evil and the No Kings protesters hate America

I’d love to see some reporter hit him with a follow-up question, like „Speaker Johnson, based on recent comments, you seem to be completely unaware of anything going on in the country; why should you be holding your position if you’re not aware of what’s happening in the country at this time?“
