Yes, when people think they’re making a point by saying „nikolakan“ people accuse everyone who criticizes Nikol as a Russian stooge and makes fake charges.
The answer is yes, every single one of them, they are, from top to bottom, from church to ngo’s.
This^^^
As a believer, I actually take comfort in the fact that a lot of these priests didn’t willingly participate in these protests. It gives me hope that after the corrupt hierarchs hopefully step down, our church can become a truly devout House of God like the Coptic church and no longer be a Kremlin asset.
It pains me to know that one of the things we’re proud of is „being the first christian nation“, as if that’s a good thing.
The worse thing, however, is that because of that inconvenient historical fact — we will struggle very long before we can finally eradicate the church from our country. It’s going to be incredibly difficult.
Let’s take a moment and appreciate the clarity of recording. Amazing tech indeed.
Can’t believe this fraud was in London for so many years.

A question to diaspora fellows.
What’s the reputation of Aram վեհափառ of Polis Patriarchate?
Is it bad like Garegin B’s (i.e. mafioso, criminal), or is it positive?
I mean, assuming that Garegin B gets eventually arrested (fingers crossed), would you be happy seeing Aram I become the catholicos?
I just have little to no knowledge about him.
The content of the recording and the feelings I have for the church aside. It is very concerning that the state does surveillance to a point of wiretapping phone calls. If they are doing it to the church officials they can do that with everyone.
And you have to be very naive to think that one of the least transparent organizations in Armenia is not corrupt.
this is actually fucked up and i have some opinions on it.
the church should stay out of politics. armenia needs progress and reforms. u cant run a country by having faith dictate government decisions. some reforms need to be made in order for armenia to develop and make progress. its disappointing to see the church fueling political chaos. maybe focus on restoring trust in ur institution instead?
armenians have the right to choose their own future. religion shouldnt get in the way of this. the church only speaks for itself and not the people. where was all of this when corruption and poverty were destroying the lives of the people? why is it that when change happens, suddenly they want to “save armenia”.
this is the exact same shit that erdogan is trying to do in ur next door neighbor, turkey. dont let ur country end up like ours. keep religion and politics as far away as u can from each other.
