      Putin promised Trump the „Putin-Trump tunnel“ that would link Russia and America by a land link and would allow for commerce throughout the entire world from China to Europe and Africa…

      Putin said it would outlast the Pyramids, become the most important commercial trade route in the world while carrying the name of Trump throughout the ages…

      Trump making himself look like even more of a moron than he is as ever, and that’s quite an undertaking.

      The fact is, many senior US and NATO military figures are *strongly* against giving Ukraine tomahawks for a multitude of reasons.

      – They require US personnel to use, which means direct US involvement.

      – You could alternatively train the Ukrainians to use them, but that would take years rendering that option largely pointless (incidentally I’m not sure why it would take that long, they can’t be *that* complicated, but I’m not a senior military figure so what do I know)

      – The can be fitted with nuclear warheads. While they wouldn’t be, Russia can detect them being fired against them, but cannot determine what warhead is mounted until they arrive. Russia is paranoid and dangerous, so that’s probably a bad game to play.

      – The US doesn’t have many spare, and they cost an absolute fortune.

      – The US and NATO are putting together an *enormous* weapons procurement package for Ukraine which will, hopefully, do much more damage to Russia than the tomahawks could.

      – We could also sanction them a *lot* more, still plenty in our pockets to hit Russia with financially.

      but instead of explaining this like a decent functioning adult human being, Trump has once again made himself look a total idiot who shouldn’t be president of the parish council in a small Norfolk village, let alone leader of the free world.

      Total, utter, shambles.

      But like I say, at least we are doing a lot to help Ukraine, with a lot lot more on the way. Russia is going to be hit, hard, regardless of this.

      Putin will have promised a world of cushy deals from Russia to the US post war ‘if Trump does as he asks’. And Trump, being greedy and with no care for Ukraine, will demand better cushy deals from Zelensky or no help. It’s all about the money to Trump.

      Zero surprise to me. I have consistently stated in past comments that his musings about Tomahawks were simply a decoy, a means to distract the public away from his agendas including his support for Russia.

      Best thing for Trump to say is they aren’t giving tomahawk missiles only to do so in order to help Ukraine. Putin wouldn’t see it coming

      The real problem is that nobody actually thought how Ukraine is going to launch these missiles. The Tomahawk is a naval weapon, until a few years ago you could only launch it from a ship or submarine.

      The US has developed a land launcher called the Typhon, but the US Military itself currently has a grand total of….eight launchers in its entire inventory. Two operational batteries
