„Trump White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt drew fierce blowback on Thursday for what was slammed as an “insane” and “vile” hot take on the Democratic Party.
Leavitt was asked on Fox News for the White House’s reaction to New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani’s (D) refusal to say whether he thinks Hamas should disarm in Gaza.

She spun her answer into a wider attack on Democrats, claiming the interview proved the party’s “main constituency are made up of Hamas terrorists, illegal aliens and violent criminals.”
“That is who the Democrat Party is catering to,” she added. “Not the Trump administration and not the White House and not the Republican Party, who is standing up for law-abiding Americans, not just across the country but around the world.”

    2. And she did it with a gleeful smile, barely containing her excitement. It is bonkers.

They’re very close to their ultimate goal…

Labeling the entire democratic party a terrorist organization.

„The democrats are the party of hate, evil and Satan“ – Donald Trump

„The democratic party’s main constituency are made up of Hamas terrorists, illegal aliens and violent criminals.“ – Karoline Leavitt

    4. What is the point of this backlash? Was she forced to resign? Fired? Arrested? What happened to her?

NOTHING. She might even get praised and a promotion.

    5. No taxation without representation. I will be withholding my taxes from this administration and donating them to causes that are important to me as a form of protest [I.e., national parks and food banks in low-income communities]. I will also be submitting a protest letter along with my tax forms to explain why I am resisting taxes.

Tax resistance is an effective form of protest that defunds the Trump administration. The more people who resist taxation as a form of protest, the harder the administration is hit.

Our protests are being ignored. The money from our paychecks are directly landing in Trump and MAGA’s pockets. It’s time to hit them where it actually hurts.

Post-Kirk is a different era. There will be no attempt to speak of non-MAGA as anything other than a threat to their vision of America. What’s said by Leavitt, Miller, Trump, Vance, or anyone in that orbit simply isn’t worth the engagement. Protest is the answer. Perhaps there is still an opportunity with the remnants of the democracy for a course correction at the polls. And ultimately this is up to the people to change.

And let’s realize the protests are such a threat to their power that the rhetoric and reaction will increase as protests increase. I see this as I see someone who is scared of No Kings and is trying to paint a picture so their base doesn’t fracture. She’s not clear. She’s not decisive. She’s afraid.

Where is the backlash? This administration has no accountability for their actions

    8. „incredibly dangerous“ blah blah blah. Everyone is just putt putting along like we’re going to have elections (free and fair) again…wake the fuck up.

Backlash on line is not going to stop fascists from doing fascism.

See you all at the protests tomorrow.

    10. Most Republicans are good people…

Then why are so many still supporting the Trump administration?

    11. Remember attending a talk by Paul Rusesabagina (Hotel Rwanda) a few years back, this was the kind of talk from the government & media (radio) about the Tutsis just before the killings began.

„In another pivotal step in the transformation of German society from a democracy to a dictatorship, the Nazi leadership passed the Law against the Founding of New Parties. With this law, passed on July 14, 1933, all other political entities were disbanded or dissolved…

Germany became a one-party dictatorship led by National Socialists, whom the law made the only legitimate political party in the country…“

They are using the history of WWII as a playbook.

This is not simply ‚incredibly dangerous‘. It’s an outright incitement to violence.

She’s really hoping someone kills Mamdani and she’s not exactly subtle about it.

    15. Remember how this sort of rhetoric caused that nut job to shoot Charlie Kirk? Oh, that was a couple weeks ago – carry on!

Democrats need to tone down the rhetoric! /s

Fucking MAGA clowns have been saying whatever the fuck they want for the past 10 years

    17. MildlyUnoriginal2 on

It’s so crazy that progressive taxation, universal public spaces, basic regulatory guardrails, and inclusive national identity is being called terrorism. I just want people in the country to be able to live their lives and get some help if they fall on hard times.

    18. Open_Mortgage_4645 on

How dare these people rant about the Democrats needing to tone down the rhetoric. They are human garbage who make absurdly divisive and remarks about the Democrats every day. And then they pretend they’re good leaders who just want to help the American people. GTFOHWTBS They don’t give a fuck about the American people. They’re singularly focused on destroying the republic, and imposing their insane ideology on the whole of society. If they cared about the American people, they wouldn’t allow their Brownshirts to assault and kidnap American citizens. Sending untrained, deputized thugs, and the National Guard into blue cities is the first stage of a plan to seize control of these cities by force, and punish the residents for not voting for Trump. Trump has literally declared war on the American people. He’s not hiding his intentions.

It’s terrifying that so many people are stupid enough to believe this stuff without so much as a single shred of evidence that it’s true.

Good for Gov. Walz, pointing the accusatory finger where it belongs.

Well, she prays before facing reporters, therefore, those UGLY thoughts MUST be spiritual messages from the very being who wanted his followers to „love one another“….

      >“Lord Jesus, please give us the strength, the knowledge, the ability to articulate our words and have fun and be confident. In Jesus‘ name. Amen,“ Leavitt says in the video.

But, but, but…the left wing is full of terrorists and say horrible, violent rhetoric stuff.

Clutching my pearls, please don’t say Healthcare (dental care would be nice, too) for all or school lunches (breakfast, too) for all, OMG, the horrors of seeing people fed and having health care.

    22. uwishuwereme6 on

When trumpanzees say, „hes your president, too“. Its pretty obvious the trump administration doesnt see it that way.

“Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) responded on X, formerly Twitter: “Most Republicans are good people. Most Democrats are good people. The White House says outrageous things to make you hate your neighbor. Your neighbor isn’t the problem. The White House is.”

Backlash from who? The usual suspects, some democrats that already complain about it?

It would be nice if the mainstream media would show some backlash. They’ll just frame it as Leavitt trying to get democrats to “tone down the rhetoric” and “help save our cities”. The mainstream media is 100% complicit in letting this go on.

    28. >Leavitt: „The Democrat Party’s main constituency is made up of Hamas terrorists, illegal aliens, and violent criminals.“

Once again taking cues from the Israelis who continue to label anyone who doesn’t let them do genocide without question as „hamas“.

Tone down the rhetoric party at it again.

    29. „The rhetoric is too violent and needs to be turned down!“

„Ignore the 40 year olds saying they love Hitler, they’re just kids!“

„Democrats are mainly made up of terrorists!“

    30. The Party from 1984 wasn’t suppose to be something to aspire to, yet here we are.

    31. Choice-Tangerine-147 on

Oh wow, instant backlash? I’m sure they’ll pause their fascist scheming for self-reflection at any moment now.
