Entschuldigung für meine Unwissenheit, wir fahren mit einem georgischen Mietwagen durch Armenien und wollten über diese Route fahren, aber die Routenplanung von Google Maps schlägt nicht vor, die direkte Straße zu verwenden. Allerdings wird es auch nicht als geschlossen angezeigt. Kann mir jemand sagen, ob die Straße offen und sicher befahrbar ist? Danke!

It’s open. Some of the minivans that ply between Tbilisi and Yerevan use this route.
Yandex maps is better in this case and shows it as open. Google doesn’t show it open as it thinks it passes through AZ. The same case happens when driving through Karki village on the way to Areni
Yes of course you can. They rebuilt the road last year to ensure that it’s all safely within Armenian territory. Possible that google maps didn’t update yet.
Yeh I’ve been along that road. Totally open. I don’t know where you are from but some countries like the uk advise against all travel to this part of armenia. I ignored this travel advice as the situation on the ground is safe from what I read but something to be mindful of from a travel insurance validity point of view.
