      > Two US Air Force B-52 Stratofortress bombers were observed flying inside the Maiquetía Flight Information Region north of Los Roques, Venezuela, on Wednesday afternoon, as tensions between Washington and Caracas continued to build.
At the time of writing, the aircraft remained visible on public flight-tracking sites, where they appeared to circle repeatedly within the Venezuelan-controlled FIR before briefly disappearing from civilian radar and then reappearing as they continued south. The flight path brought the bombers close to La Orchila and Gran Roque, both Venezuelan islands with military facilities.

      > The movement coincided with the diversion of a US deportation flight that had been scheduled to land at Maiquetía Airport, which instead routed to Puerto Rico. Observers on social media suggested the diversion may have been linked to the B-52 presence, though no official connection has been confirmed.

      > The timing also followed comments from former US President Donald Trump, who claimed a US strike had destroyed a small boat allegedly carrying narcotics off the Venezuelan coast, killing six people.

      > The flight profile is consistent with long-range training and deterrence patrols routinely conducted by B-52s from Barksdale Air Force Base across the Caribbean. These missions often test endurance, navigation, and joint coordination with regional partners while remaining within international airspace. However, the proximity of this particular patrol to Venezuelan territory and its visibility on open tracking platforms suggested a deliberate signalling exercise intended to reinforce US reach and readiness in the region.

    2. This is the quo in the quid pro quo for Rubio right?
This is what he put his name down for.

Hard to believe it’s Miller, or Vought, or Petey, or Trump.

    3. And they are still there. Call signs BUNNY01 and BUNNY02, but they seem to be heading north now, probably leaving the area.

It looks like a US Deportation flight got rerouted from Venezuela due to these exercises.

This administration is just a shit show, no planning and all gas. Constantly stepping on each other like those Hyundai factory raids being completely against implemented policy at the top level for onshoring jobs.

    7. I wonder what this means for the international friendly match between Canada and Venezuela in Florida next month

Military personnel will have no qualms about following orders to drone strike or bomb Canada, Greenland, Mexico, or other US allies. Americans fapping off about how the military command structure cares about the „legality“ of orders are full of themselves.

I remember when Russia was amassing troops and equipment near the Ukrainian border while insisting that they were not preparing an invasion.
