And here’s the part where I say that there is no money in the Arts. Never was, never will be. You have to have multiple side hustles/multiple streams of income if you want a career in the arts. This is why parents used to raise Cain when their daughters fell in love and wanted to marry an actor or a musician. It’s very much a hand to mouth industry STILL.

Nicki doesn’t have multiple streams of income. No endorsements, no commercials, hardly no acting roles, no clothing lines. She has a perfume line, but not enough people buy and wears that.

I’m not surprised about this news, you can’t live off music alone. The Arts eat too much of your profits when you do make some good money and that’s besides keeping up the life to which you are accustomed to and paying employees, agents, managers, etc. A lot of the money they make has to go back into the machine.

These people don’t make as much money as you think, it’s very much smoke and mirrors.
