Damn! You guys are so fascist you lost the other fascists! Newsmax has like no standards or relationship with reality and even they thought it was too much!

      >The Pentagon Press Association confirmed Wednesday that negotiations over the policy have stalled, warning that the rules could undermine press freedom and **expose journalists to legal risk.**

The article stops there, so I’m wondering what exactly they think would lead to increased legal risk?

To save people time the article is one paragraph in which the above headline is repeated using more words though without much context or additional information.

I think this is equivalent to Susan Collins being allowed to vote against Trump from time to time. It looks good to those who are not paying attention, and the administration knows it will have 💯% support when it counts

I’m guessing that after getting reamed by dominion they learned that repeating the Trump line *all* the time is potentially incredibly expensive and they don’t want to get sued for pushing his propaganda without being able to put their spin on it.

Newsmax, of all media! so it was too fascist for THEM?? lol i thought they really were into brown nosing Dear Leader

    8. This feels like theater.

Newsmax isn’t going to sink the admin, they have no interest in exposing them in a way that’s critically harmful.

They get to give the appearance of having journalistic integrity and the white house knows newsmaxx is on their team anyway.

The agreement probably creates all sorts of insane legal risk to journalists. Like liability for reporting shit that they later decide they didn’t want reported. Remember, this shit is written by the morons that make up Trumps legal team and they aren’t interested in expert opinions or negotiations.

Hardly- they just want a cross on the Pentagon and all generals to be Christian nationalists

    11. Pardon? Lol

How did one-off negotiations with the government become popular? The government is supposed to write policies and laws

      > The initial plan called for all department information, whether classified or not, be run past Pentagon officials before an outlet could be allowed to publish an article.

This is the press they want to make.

What’s the point of their refusing, they’re already propaganda.

They are afraid the next administration will keep this policy, effectively putting them out of business because they wouldnt be able to lie anymore.
