This is honestly outrageous. The Feds *need* to step in already and forbid provinces from restricting medical care. And the fact that they’re going to use the notwithstanding clause to force it through is even worse. Withhold healthcare funding from Alberta or something. I know it’ll be politically hard for the Liberals but if you say you’re for protecting LGBTQ+ rights, now is the fucking time to stand up and tell Smith to take a hike.
Why don’t other neurodivergent folks get the same wildly disproportionate attention? Surely those with say severe OCD or those with schizophrenia outnumber those with gender dysphoria?
How can you really know what you are before going through puberty? So much change happens during puberty with hormones and changes to personality I don’t know how one can say for certain at such a young age they would forego that. This seems to be very parent driven.
Are there other medical situations where puberty blockers are required besides those where they just don’t want to?
