Why it is „BilArus“ for Ukraine? It’s „BilOrus“ in Cyrillic. I don’t recall the change for „o“ to „a“ in speech in Ukrainian.
В Германии движение пошло, уже официально заявили что будут использовать Belarus.

Romania definitely calls Belarus “Belarus” or “Bielorusia”. “Rutenia Albă” (“White Ruthenia”) would only be mentioned in a historical context
а дзе сусед з усходу? як яны называюць цікава 🤔
Ну вообще то историческое название по литовски Gudija.
stupid map, polish „Białoruś“ isn’t borrowed from russian it’s just „White Rus“
I dont get it, could anyone explain it, which one is better ?
In Poland its called Białoruś – which translates to White Ruthenia.
And its an geographical name that predates Russia.
Same as there used to be Red Ruthenia, Kyiv Ruthenia and more. Its the Russia name that cames from it.
У шведаў паўсюль у сістэмах ужо Belarus, а ў новых падручніках абодве назвы
Білорусь / Bilorus

I’ve heard there’s a small discussion among Ukrainian linguists and similar circles about possibly changing the name Bilorusʼ .
In my opinion, the Ukrainian form Bilorusʼ doesn’t actually come from the Russian Byelorussiya, but rather because writing Bilarusʼ would be grammatically incorrect in Ukrainian — it simply doesn’t fit the language’s rules.
So right now, there are basically two options: to keep Bilorusʼ as it is, or to use the historical name Bila Rusʼ. However, in my view, Bilorusʼ is still the better option

WTF in native language it’s white russia? What do you expect from other countries then?
EDIT Aaa, shit. It’s another countries‘ native languages.. Sorry!
In Serbian spoken in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro it’s Bjelorusija / Бјелорусија, in Serbian spoken in Serbia it’s Белорусија / Belorusija, in both it means the same: White Russia.

„Biélorussie“ isn’t the only option, there are actually two words.
„Biélorussie“ and „Bélarus“
The difference is that the former is feminine, and the latter is masculine.
Although it does seem like „Biélorussie“ is more popular.
“Silly Belarusians, they should figure a name for themselves on their own”
Белоруссия.

白罗斯(This is the correct reference translation provided by the Belarusian Embassy, but it is rarely used.)/白俄罗斯(For historical reasons, with no ill intent.)
Белоруссия. Но при белорусах говорим Беларусь, чтобы не обидеть
