What a joke
In Poland, we had 2 weeks government in 2023. It was third, if I remember correctly government of Mateus Morawiecki. Our president ruled him to make cabinet, but parliament voted two weeks later, and canceled it, then opposition leader made government (he lost election, his party was second, but he made coalition, which had majority). Funny thing is, that cabinet is now falling apart.
Eg on never lost his premiership. His country just vanished.
Needs a lettuce bar for scale
For what I understand Fernandes Costa was never actually a government, has he resigned on the same day as he was suppose to take office, but before taking office. It became known as the 5 minutes government, and an example of the extreme instability of the first Portuguese Republic.
Amintore Fanfani knows how to taste this life.
Macron : hold my beer
From Poland alone it’s missing Ignacy Daszyński (3 days), Artur Śliwiński (9 days), Władysław Grabski (for the first time he was a prime minister for 27 days), Wincenty Witos (his third goverment lasted for 4 days) and Kazimierz Bartyzel with an impresisve hat-trick of failed governments consecutively ruling for 20, 108 and 3 days.
Would be interesting to see which ones are part of legitimate political happenings or otherwise.
For example Nikos Sampson was installed as part of a coup.
Missing 3rd government of Mateusz Morawiecki in Poland, lasted 16 days (27.11 to 13.12.2023).
Macron just put a second coin to try again to beat the record with Lecornu.

As Macron initially rejected Lecornu’s resignation, his (first) government actually lasted 3 days, not 14 hours.
Serafín María de Sotto’s government is missing. His government lasted about 24 hours. He was appointed Prime Minister of Spain on the late afternoon of tbe 19th of October 1849, and sacked the next day in the early afternoon.
As a Belgian, please do the same for the longest time without a government.
