China doesn’t need the US and trump has already caused massive trade deals to leave and never come back. Just look at soy beans for starters, those trade deals and all the money with them will forever go to South America and Africa now.

The whole “we need to manufacture more here” mentality isn’t even to blame, it’s the execution, it’s recognizing a problem and just cutting off all ties with no infrastructure to replace the supply chain. How in tf do these morons think we can build anything if we have $0 going in or out from the 2nd largest (soon to be 1st) in the world? You can’t compete in this manner and we all get to watch as groceries, clothes, electronics, everything skyrockets in price. Happy holidays!

I remember when „waking the sleeping giant“ meant us. Now it is China, and Trump is waking it up.

1. Trade wars in general are bad for consumers and economies.
2. Trump’s an idiot who has decided to wage a trade war on the whole world including our allies, thus heavily hurting the US.
3. I don’t feel too bad about China though because China’s been waging a trade war on the west for a long time but the west has largely not wanted to admit that because confronting it involves economic pain.
1. They have a number of protectionist policies that heavily favor China and hurt international partners. One such example is requiring all business done in China to involve a Chinese company with a knowledge transfer. Those companies then take the tech and force out the original company.
2. I sort of liken it to how the west ignored how Russia had been waging a quasi war on the west through political and economic destabilization efforts.
4. Rare earth metals aren’t rare and aren’t technically difficult to refine. It’s just dirty to do and China was more than happy to do it so nobody really bothered to compete there. Given it’s not difficult, we’re already seeing western companies ramping up their refining operations. This action will speed that up and will backfire on China as the global control of that gives them a massive price advantage in manufacturing which they will lose with others ramping up their own operations.
1. It is worth noting that it will likely take years for the US to build up refining capacity however we’ve already started which is why mining and refinement stocks have been going up heavily.

Why shoud China be worried about the Trump import tax paid by US customers?

Trump is destroying the US economy and driving away US allies. In the long run it is more than Xi could have hoped for. Because we already see that US capital is looking for new invests and they are blowing hundreds of billions into the AI bubble.

In game theory, a trade war is only “won” if the other side doesn’t establish retaliatory counter-tariffs. Once counter-tariffs appear, both countries lose — it’s just an economic version of mutual destruction with higher prices. In contrast to the EU leadership, which has ties to Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, and similar entities, China appears to understand this.

I get the Trump hate but ppl suddenly thinking that China is the good guy is pretty deranged. Their economic and geopolitical thuggery is equally as brazen and far more deep-rooted than the Trump administration’s lunacy.

I feel like USA will chicken out first. Sadly China is now leading in many industries. Agent Krasnov also made Chinese perspective young people to stop going to USA for studying in university so instead of driving USA economy they will start driving China’s economy.

Wage trade wars with China to put economic pressures on American citizens. The control of the media and americans lack of ability to see things from the outside in. The citizens are going to view these as threats to their livelihood (caused by trump in reality) and now they will accept the idea of attacking and invading allies.

I honestly believe this is the game plan.
