**Submission Statement**

The Gaza peace plan is exceptionally fragile. It may prove to be only a fleeting ceasefire, rather than an enduring end to hostilities.

Yet, in a war that has seen nothing but horror and despair for two years, it is a glimmer of hope amidst profound darkness.

I spoke with CHCH Television, in my role as a Senior Fellow at the University of Toronto’s School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, about the next seventy-two hours, and what it will take to sustain peace.
