    1. This case is deeply disturbing and marks an extreme betrayal of parental trust. The deliberate abuse, coercion, and recording of the act show shocking depravity. It’s a tragic reminder of how vulnerable children can be, even in their own homes. The victim showed great courage in escaping and reporting the abuse, and it’s vital he receives ongoing support to heal from such trauma.

As liberal as I am, there is something to be said for building a literal cannon that points at the sun, instead of another prison.

I can’t imagine how they feel having the closest people in the world to you betray you. That shit’s gonna mess you up for life.

    3. Sexual exploitation is a somewhat watered down description of what happened. It was rape.

Jesus that is one of them grimmest fucking things I have ever heard. Poor child.

    5. Bollox to this concurrent sentencing shit. Its a cop out by the state and is highly insulting to victims of crimes of any kind.

    6. And the other recent story of a father recording his teenage daughter in the shower. Sick fuckers out there while there’s people desperate to have and raise children of their own

    7. Concurrent sentencing here seems like a joke. This is one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever read. Also the part about the father getting over a life changing illness. So what – that’s not at all mitigating. As a parent I’m absolutely disgusted after reading that

Not enough. They should be heavily fined to pay for all the therapy that poor kid is going to need.

This is one of the most uncomfortable things I’ve ever read. That poor child. I hope he gets all the support he is going to need.

That’s just utterly horrific – the poor kid. I hope the state is making sure that he has absolutely every support he needs to heal and recover.

You’d wonder about humans sometimes – you really would.

      >She set the headline sentence for defilement at 12 years and reduced it to nine-and-a-half years with mitigation. The maximum sentence for sexual exploitation is life and Judge McMullan set the headline sentence at 12 years. But she also reduced it to nine-and-a-half years with mitigation.

When you need to hit the word count.

    12. The dad is 35.

He’s going to be a free man by his early 40’s after committing a crime like that. There’s absolutely no justice in that.

I can’t imagine that there’s anyway the child will ever recover.

Jesus Christ that’s one of the worst things I’ve read in my life. That poor child.

Tattoo it in their foreheads I reckon – let it be known till the day they die

Poor young lad , what a horrific crime

Concurrent sentences are a ducking joke . These guys should be locked up and the keys thrown away.

    16. sarcasticseawitch on

Concurrent sentences just doesn’t cut it for a crime like this. Honestly, these two don’t belong in our community. Monsters

    17. The worst was they denied culpability. So will they be let out believing what they did was right?

    18. dawdreygore on

That is not nearly enough time, what possible mitigation could there be?

    19. Busy-Statistician573 on

There’ll be no recovery for that poor child. Normality will always be a struggle for him when the biggest trust of all was violated.

      Those two fuckers should swing.

Every aspect of this was vile.

Many people have cancer and don’t end up raping their children or facilitating the rape.

Sickening and I’ve never wished harm more on any two reprobates.

Never thought there would be a day where I’d hope for cancer and suicidal ideation to make their return to finish the job. But here we are.

Good lord what a terrible day to be able to read. Hope that young man finds peace some day and I hope karma finds the parents even sooner

‘Level of depravity’?!!!! It is off the charts depravity. That poor child.

    23. GemmyGemGems on

Ok, so apparently we need a change in the law to classify what happened to this child (or any man) as rape.

I cannot believe what I just read.

So many of us are lucky to come from a loving home.

      This is juat sick.

I remember growing up thinking everyone surely has parent that love and care for them.
Grim go realise that’s not the case.

I hope he has some good family members and friends that can take over and help him. How could you ever have a normal life after this. Meet a partner, raise a child, trust anyone. Your mind would be broken.

I’m sorry, I’m against the death penalty but I wouldn’t object if those cunts were executed. I was nearly sick reading that. I hope for the perpetrators‘ sake that there were ridiculous amounts of drugs involved. People here talking about the father getting out early – what about her?
