This sort of violent fit AFTER a ceasefire has been signed and enacted sort of gives the game away don’t you think
I appreciate the folks keeping up pressure on our politicians. The Liberal government must be called upon to recognize the genocide and embargo and sanction Israel. This is exactly the kind of pressure that has forced the government to recognize Palestine. The ceasefire is just a temporary measure, it doesn’t solve the Palestinian issue.
Regardless of what you believe about the situation in the Middle East, what does anyone actually gain from breaking into an elected representatives office and refusing to leave? All it really does is disrupt constituency workers who are doing other relevant work to support people in the riding. This kind of activism is all about headlines and not about actually doing anything substantial for people. You’re not going to convince someone to be more sympthatic to your cause if you’re breaking into their offices and harassing their staff…
