TLDR:
* Neil Young is taking a stand against corporate America — and Amazon. On Wednesday, Young announced on [the Neil Young Archives website](https://neilyoungarchives.com/news/1/article?id=Amazon%20No) that he will be pulling his music from Amazon and called for fans to boycott the e-commerce company.
* “FORGET AMAZON AND WHOLE FOODS. FORGET FACEBOOK,” the website read. “BUY LOCAL. BUY DIRECT. BEZOS SUPPORTS THIS GOVERNMENT. IT DOES NOT SUPPORT YOU OR ME.“
* “The time is here,“ the „Heart of Gold“ singer continued. „FORGET AMAZON. Soon my music will not be there. It is easy to buy local. Support your community. Go to the local store. Don’t go back to the big corporations who have sold out America. We all have to give up something to save America from the Corporate Control Age it is entering.“
Well for starters, nobody listens to music via Amazon
Here we go again….
Legit love Neil but this is not the fight I want for him at his age.
I’m gonna open up a Amazon shop selling his CD’s for twice the value.
God I love the smell of capitalism in the morning.
I hope he remembers that a Southern man don’t need him around anyhow
My local mom and pop doesn’t have his music 😡 it’s just food and candy and shit

If more did what Neil Young does… that’s how you break the ultra-rich’s hold on us all.
We haven’t had a music store in my town for ten years.
What local stores?
So how do you get a CD into your phone?
What local store?
There aren’t many music stores left fella. Roll with the times.
Local record store is a 40 min drive from my house. It’s also very expensive so I only get a few things from there a year.
Does Best Buy even sell CDs anymore?
Neil Young is on the right side of history. There aren’t many people with his name recognition that you can say the same about these days.
He thinks it’s like dropping walmart.
