      Just to get ahead of the misinformation:

      The reason the sentences are longer than some other crimes that have been reported on in this sub recently, is because they attacked police officers. In the sentencing guidelines, assaulting emergency workers is pretty much an automatic increase to your prison sentence.

      Basically, any time you think a sentence is ‘wrong’, just take five minutes to google the sentencing guidelines for the crime in question. I’ve not yet found a sentence that didn’t follow the guidelines to the letter.

      So a man burning a book gets attacked by a man with a knife and the police/authorities do nothing yet these get the book thrown at them?

      Wives and family members will be relieved at the custodial sentences given the high proportion of these protesters who are domestic abusers.

      Rightfully so considering they assaulted police etc. But it’s a complete joke they got more than the migrant. How can anyone argue we don’t live in a two tier society. Their sentence isn’t too long but his was way too short.

      It opens the question, which is more serious and why?

      Abusing a child, or assaulting a person in uniform?

      Our sentencing is not aligned for me, I’ve no issues with additional charges for police etc, but acts towards those most vulnerable in our society should be the highest additional tariff outside of the traditional capital offences.

      So attacked police officers but still not a terrorist organisation . Yet the one violent thing the far right say about PA is attacked a police officer once…. Thats the only violent thing Pa has done….
