I hope enough people vote with their wallets against shows like this and halo, and for shows like fallout which at least try to follow the spirit of the game/book.
Hollywood types attempting to improve phenomenal source material by making it their own almost always ends horrifically

Or a typo.
Like I get there’s a subset of people here desperate to villianise netflix and deify Cavill but this is just hysterics.

They should have replaced the show-runner, writers, and directors instead.

We’re just always gonna complain about this instead of just ruining our if we aren’t interested?

I’m still mad about Mindhunter. Netflix had a monopoly on entertainment for a small window and it was glorious

Season One was the only good season. Then the writers decided to ignore the source material.

I haven’t even bothered watching season 3. The show is done.

I knew of the games, but never played and wasn’t aware they were based on the books so went into season 1 fresh. I liked it alot, though Yennifer really carried the season for me.
Season 2 was pretty bad I’m not even sure if I finished or not.

I couldn’t even make it through S1. Every scene that didn’t have Cavill in it seemed to have no narrative thrust, thematic relevance, or often even a point. Cavill was the only great thing about that show.

To the people complaining about “respecting the source material:” I’ve always wondered, to which source are you all referring?
The game isn’t exactly faithful to the books, and the book’s author sure as hell doesn’t have much respect for the games. So what exactly are you all bitching about?

Netflix Witcher just feels like someone threw more money at a Syfy adaptation. It’s just got this off feeling to it the whole time?

Amateurish, boring.
That, for me is what that show is/was.
Cavil was the only redeeming thing about it.

Why does Hollywood hate this man

Watched 15 minutes of the first episode, laughed my ass off and promptly turned that shit off. Life’s definitely too short.
Not Cavill’s fault, though.

When a actor or actress screams „read the books“ I would probably read the books

The world is truly run by the worst people
It’s pretty likely to just be a typo
I stopped watching when Cavill left.
