Disappointing but not surprising. Agribusiness can block things being called sausages, burgers, milks and so on but everyone calls them as such anyway.
Such measures are also ultimately shortsighted since farming is among the most vulnerable occupations to be affected by climate change and regardless of what the IFA or other lobbyists say, will need to come to terms with the hard ecological limits sooner or later.

Nobody is confused about a burger not containing meat any more than they’re confused about veggie sausages. This is just the usual non-transparent lobbying that goes on in Europe around regulation.

Burger is short for hamburger, so surely a chicken burger is also poor labeling, and thus confusing to the average consumer?
