First step of criticising a project is being able to spell the name of it right.

It’s Nord Stream 2, not North Stream 2.
This project undermined stability in Central (or Eastern if you will) Europe.
It was one of the reasons why Russia thought they might get away with invading Ukraine.

Poland should just have invaded Germany and put a stop to it then.

I thought it was written by Donald Trump. A problem for the US LNG projects indeed. But the German technology built on cheap Russian energy would benefit Europe. Just somehow the Russians never do business properly.

Germany must understand that there is close to no sympathy for Germany for someone having blown up NS2. We get that it was illegal, we just don’t care. You yourself pushed someone to do this. We all told you NS2 was a strategic mistake…

Merkel has really fucked up and she continues to double down on that. Tusk is right.

There’s three problems with Russian gas pipelines. **Russian**, **Gas**, **Pipeline**.

North Stream 2 was basically a project that happened because, except the Greens, every major german party has/had very close connections to russia. Corruption at its best…

What Tusk says is that democracy is the problem and terrorism isn’t.

He probably signed it off when he was in the corridors of Brussels.

Diabolic take, the NS2 was keeping the heavy industry in germany alive basically. No wonder since the start of the war German economy is tanking.
Anyway, clearly the NS2 was against US interest, that is why it has been blow up. (1:37, [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OS4O8rGRLf8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OS4O8rGRLf8) ). Now we europeans are importing tons of LNG on tankers from the US at much higher price than russian gas.
Clearly being energetically dependent by a state like Russia, which as an antagonistic approach to the EU has not been a great geopolitical move, but it was working until some of the main political figures in EU were still able to negotiate with Putin.

Denmark did try to rebrand it as EU infrastructure, and by that make it something the EU could debate or say no to.
