    1. the ray cooke tiktok comment section always gives me a chuckle

even in this video, with a straight face the agent will claim it’s a great opportunity for first time buyers.

a new family, possibly with a child, buying a burnt out heroin hub in a rough area in finglas with a starting price of 4 black market kidneys

    2. Reminds me of a property agent colleague I had once, who was not afraid to laugh at herself, fair play to her. Back in the Celtic Tiger days she was trying to flog a dodgy, rickety, falling down property by stressing its supposed ‚development potential‘. She came out with this exquisite malapropism:

„This place is a little landmine!“

    3. Are we finally in/near to the Brendan O’Connor (2007) phase of denial, and actually it’s shortly going to…maybe not go pop exactly, but start seriously going iffy?

These shysters trying to sell a shell of a house that probably should be knocked over and put in a builder’s skip for north of 200K is a bit mad. But maybe it actually is different now, and this is just the way it is. Suck it up.

    4. There is a hidden demand with burnt out properties.
Builders/dodgey folks see it as a great way to spend a load of dirty cash. They all get excited about it and outbid each other to the point its not even sensible.
An agent even told me in certain areas youd sell a burnt out house easier than a normal sale.
