Es ist nach dem benannt Nevėžis-Fluss, und es sieht aus, als stamme es von einem finnischen Wortaber um es klarzustellen: Sie alle haben wirklich einen Fluss, eine Fußballmannschaft und eine Basketballmannschaft, was übersetzt so viel bedeutet "Nicht Krebs"?

Cancer and/or Crayfish is written as „vėžys“ and not „vėžis“. These might sound similar but are definitely not the same word.
Well, sort of but not really? The spelling isn’t exactly right and when you say it, the accent is on another syllable. So it neither looks, nor sounds similar enough to make us think about it. When I see or hear that word, all it makes me think of is the river itself, not cancer or crayfish, or any lack of it.
