Given that the announcement was made by an MP who went rogue, maybe just ask that MP?
And then make that MP resign for gross breach of conduct.
Ban? They were denied entry due to their…. Checks notes…. Terrorism charges against them in the U.K.
Yes the charges against the band were dropped…. But they were still active when the band attempted to get visa’s.
We don’t allow people in with criminal records or who have been charged with crimes… especially when those crimes are alleged terrorism related. If we did let them in then they would be receiving special treatment and they don’t deserve that.
The band is free to reapply now that their terrorism charges have been dropped.
And why is Prime Minister Carney being pressed? Why not the IIRC who is in charge of approving visas or that asshat Gasparro who should have never made that stupid social media post.
If you are not a Canadian Citizen entry into Canada is a privilege not a right and we refuse entry to people for a hell of a lot less than active terrorism charges applied by an ally.
