People on the Right need to speak out against Trump; that is the only way we stop him.
Obama speaking out more can’t hurt, but it also won’t help. It’s just more noise to tune out.
Obama spoke in public pretty regularly for 8 years and it culminated in the first Trump term.

Yeah, 40 years of being Corpocrats has done wonders to the party – and anointing leaders, while blocking actual candidates that can operate in our new populist political environment, has made the Democrats completely incapable of doing…well anything.
It’s crazy how Obama was the last real „leader“ in the Democratic Party. I’d say AOC and Bernie are the only real contenders, but the people who call the shots are determined *not* to let them lead. Voting Dem for the past three presidential elections has pretty much boiled down to „vote for the candidate who’s not Hitler.“

Obama is the only guy who can really all the segments of the party it seems. I’d totally be down for him to run again if Trump does some bullshit to run for a 3rd term.
Obama needing to consult with a focus group before doing the right thing is not very inspiring. I get that he’s tried following tradition and not allow his former role as POTUS to interfere with either of the two Potus‘ since, but that stuffs gone by the wayside, with Trump not holding to any former traditions, rules, or even laws. Unprecedented actions require unprecedented reactions. If saying or doing nothing hasn’t worked to make a difference thus far, then say something, do something until that difference sought is found. Don’t live to regret, or else you will!
If Trump runs in 2028 it would be hilarious for Obama to do the same.
