Genuinely some of the worst music I’ve ever heard.
They all put out those endless variants these days inflating figures. Shame big artists are so predatory to their fans.

I do not understand the hate. Yes, “Wood” is absolutely one of the dumbest songs I’ve ever heard, but there are like 8 other songs on this album that Sabrina Carpenter or Katy Perry would sell their soul to release.
I was expecting a lot of dance hall bangers based on the production team and the fact that the last two albums were so slow and weepy.
But this is a very chill background music album. It’s a background vibe album. There are a lot of solid songs on it. The real problem is that everyone – even the Swifties – are just tired of Taylor. We haven’t had a break from her in 2.5 years and she released a lot of mediocre material during that time.
I mean she’s done PRE-PRE Orders for this album and is most definitely gonna release a million more variants so…

Funnily how Taylor Swift is probably one of the least inspired and most untalented “artists” there is. With a fan base as toxic as serpents.

this stat only makes me recoil at how selling the product is clearly the first priority over making actually good music. alongside her insatiable need to break every record possible, biggest first day streams, biggest song debut, only artist to have billboard top 10 debut, and then a top 14 debut as well, she’s also bound to break the 25 record with easily her worst album to date. containing music that i never thought she’d even fathom releasing.
the visuals for this album are stunning (i don’t really like the cabaret showgirl outfits but i can’t say that she doesn’t look beautiful), but are in total disconnect with how the music actually sounds, which again only makes me think that the music here is a total afterthought as along as she hits her desired sales target.
i’m not saying that she hasn’t been tay-capitalist the entire time, and that sales, and by extension money, hasn’t been a driving factor throughout her whole career (eight folklore variants anyone?) but at least the music was good and i actually wanted to listen to it imo. she is consistently a sell-out, but she had something to prove once, and now she’s on top of the world, the cost however has been anyone taking her seriously again because her discography will always include the lyric ‘he dickmatized me’.
I’m not a hater by any means but this is just a good album.

Why do I find this hard to believe
After I found out that people buy these in bulk to inflate the sales numbers, I’m not impressed.
She has like 17 variants of the same album and they buy each one if they can, its not about music being good that’s organically selling well.
