Let’s fucking go. But the plan has to be extremely specific and particular because this is 100% the kind of thing that turns into a money drain. Too easy for corrupt officials to funnel money into bullshit NGOs that thrive on never solving anything at all.

Now, an article came out that the cats are overpopulated and outnumbered the humans in Cyprus. This was also true many many years ago, it’s not something new.

I do hope this works correctly. They say that they will reopen the old public vet clinics. So working hours 8:00-14:30 so 2 cats per day, maybe 3 on a good day? This will solve nothing.
Again the volunteers will have to tackle the TNR process.

This needs a proper coordination between several teams. Locating cats, speaking with volunteers or individuals who feed cats and require help. Another team to catch and release the cats.
Several vets on different areas around each city that will do the surgeries.

It also needs education in schools regarding the cats and their wellbeing. You can’t have young people talking shit about cats, killing them because „why not, it’s just a cat“ or throwing newborn kittens in the trash.

I LOVE seeing cats everywhere i go. i breathe cats. but cant deny that not having stray cats is just cleaner and better.
