Probably why only ~3,600 of the ~101,000 trans people in Canada have the ‘X’ gender option. As great as it is for inclusivity most trans people know it can potentially cause travel issues, very few countries will recognize it unfortunately.

The main takeaway from this is that Canada has put a travel advisory for travellers to the US.

      This is not normal.

    3. At this point why not just pick one to put down and run with it? I get that some people may not „feel like they identify with it“ but it’s a passport, just a travel document you have to show occasionally at borders. I doesn’t seem like it’s worth the hassel to die on the „X“ hill.

Holy shit people pick one and move on with your lives. First world problems

    5. Not a whole lot of Canadians traveling to that sithole country anymore. Especially the ones who may have that. Everyone here in Canada knows how dangerous that third world country is now.

The US has directly indicated that an ‚X‘ gender wouldn’t render someone inadmissible. Global Affairs Canada confirms that to date no Canadian has ever been denied entry on the basis of the gender on their passport.

„Nobody has ever been denied entry for this reason. But they *might* deny you entry for this reason.“

Seems like the article is trying to make a fuss over nothing.
