    1. >The sentence came down Friday and it longer than what Diddy wanted … remember, his legal team asked the judge for a 14-month sentence while prosecutors wanted him to serve 11 years behind bars.

      >The sentencing hearing lasted several hours … during which prosecutors blasted Diddy for scheduling what they called a speaking engagement this upcoming Monday in Miami — while his team focused more on character witnesses, and the emotional side of Diddy’s situation.

Our justice system is an absolute fucking joke. In the remarks before sentencing the judge glazed him about inspiring „a community of color“. Diddy’s been a laughingstock for his entire career.

Let this be a lesson learned. If you’re rich in America, major crimes are just oopsie-daisies. If none of this happened his legacy would just be people joking about all his dumb name changes.

Plus time served and the possibility for parole. He’ll be out by Christmas next year… crazy shit.

Money doesn’t buy happiness but it certainly buys the justice system

    5. The jury acquitted him of the serious charges so the sentence the judge could hand down was limited due to that

50 months but he’s done ~13 months already.

So 37 months (3 years) if he completes his full sentence.

~~He’ll probably be out on parole in 8 or 9 months.~~

Edit: as mentioned below, sounds like he has to do 85% of his sentence, there is no parole board shortcut in the federal system anymore. TIL

The amount of dirt he must have on high profile people must be insane for him to just get 4 years.

    8. the prosecution didn’t go in as hard as they could and should have. 4 years is a win for diddy he was practically facing life.

No worries, his friend donald will pardon Diddy before Christmas. I heard the price for pardons is 1 million.

Plus good behavior, time served…is that even 2 yrs? smh Injustice reigns.

I’m just gonna pray to God someone kills him in Prison by breaking his neck or some shit.

    13. My faith in the system is so low, I saw this headline and was happy he was actually going to jail at all. I was imagining suspended sentences, hung juries, all the rich people legal dodges.

4 years in prison isn’t nearly enough! Pretty confident that this cheap mofo hasn’t learned a thing! He’ll get caught fucking up in prison and will get more time added on!

    15. In terms of what he was actually convicted of (transporting prostitutes across state lines), it seems pretty heavy. But obviously this is the best they can do to enact any sense of justice for the heinous shit he wasn’t convicted on that everyone knows he did.

Google’s AI overview states: “Judge’s Stance: The judge stated the sentence was intended to send a message to abusers and victims, emphasizing that victims should trust their stories can lead to justice.”

    17. He must have had a white privilege card stashed away somewhere for this exact type of situation
