They’re a political party, not a banned organisation. They contest elections (unsuccessfully, it has to be said). This is a democracy, people have the right to be members of these things if they want.
I think the media is overplaying this. Eirigi are politically active nuisances but that’s democracy.

And what about Paschal Donohoe secret call with an Israeli minister? It’s this kind of stuff that should be headline news and causing outrage but it’s become so normalised by them and they have the media backing them it doesn’t matter what they do.
It calls into question her rehabilitation no doubt. However, it’s still doesn’t make the other two candidates any better… Awful choice.

So she was approached for the job after being released in mid August. If the other articles are correct then the headline then, „Éirígí said Ursula Ní Shionnain still member in 2018 when employed by Catherine Connolly in Leinster House“, isn’t true.
Is Jim Gavin going to be in trouble for being a member of the party that pushed for Catherine Connolly to hire her? I highly doubt it. The spin is genuinely disgusting, I haven’t been this upset about Irish media since they took months to begin effectively reporting about Gaza.
