      This made my heart sink. These goddamn idiots think she can just be cut up like any plane and trucked to their shithole state. They couldn’t care less how irresponsible and unnecessary this whole thing is, they’re blinded by greed.

      I’m already a member of the nonprofit KeepTheShuttle, I highly recommend joining if you truly care about our nation’s history and want Discovery to remain at her home in Dulles.

      So we are going so spend all that money and hack the space shuttle to pieces because one man objects to the Smithsonian depicting some of the true but not-so-pretty aspects of American history.

      I work with a few people who built the shuttle, and none of them want this. Taking apart aircraft that was put together 2 days ago is hard enough. This will absolutely destroy it.
