    1. and in reality this is gonna get so much worse, specially in Europe with all those muslim refugees, I guess that’s the main idea behind mass migration; to use these people to persecute Christians

As far as I know, most Islamic terror groups are created and funded by the US and Israel. That’s probably why.

    3. Because they are black. You can downvote me. People never really cared for Africa.

When it comes to Africa and the Middle East, particularly when Muslims are the ones talking, the saying is “no jews, no news.” There is no anti-west propaganda for the extremists and tankies to amplify when it doesn’t involve smearing Israel or other western nations.

Look how fast this thread was upvoted compared to other threads and look at all the comments pushing a cohesive and specific narrative. Suspicious 🤨? I’ll let you be the judge.

Sadly, the world doesn’t care about Africa or its people, unless it’s to rob the resources.

One big reason is because it’s Africa.

Another big reason is because there is no divide in the opinion, everyone is against Boko Haram, both Christians and the vast, vast majority of Muslims, including those in Nigeria, who have also suffered 10s of thousands of deaths at their hand.

Both right and left are against them, there is no discussion or debate or divide, there is no one who supports this and so we are all agreed in the west that this is bad. Where there is no controversy there is less „content“ and news in 2025 is in big part about „content“.

Furthermore, from a US point of view, we don’t fund Boko Haram, they don’t influence our politicians and we don’t have a geo-politcal interest in the region.

I think those are a few reasons why, not saying it should be this way, just trying to think of reasons.

How about Trump? He wants to bring white South Africans to America because they are being „Prosecuted“. How about these Christians who are being mass murdered?

    10. Right_Turnover490 on

Because the zionist controlled media likes Islamic militants and would never give them bad press…obviously 🙄

    11. Coz it’s a lie that even propaganda media doesn’t have any material to support : I’m attaching Amnesty international report on this regard no mention of 51k deaths or sectarian violence. This lie promoted by genocide makers to cover up their crimes against children

    12. BettinBrando on

The media reports on whatever they’re told to. Period. We’ve seen enough videos of them repeating the same things verbatim to know they are all given directives and follow them.

I’m Nigerian American and am only recently hearing about this persecution through „whataboutism“, my entire extended family plus like 95% the greater Nigerian community my family is involved with are christian and I haven’t heard of this from anyone.

The sentiment I’m getting from American christians is not coming off as genuine, but rather just people mad that there is so much attention on Gaza and pressure on Israel, and because they don’t care about Gazans because most are Muslim they want to direct that attention to further their claim that Christians are being persecuted around the world.

So my question is… what do American Christians want to see done? I’m genuinely curious because especially recently their attitude towards Gaza has been that that it isn’t our country and it isn’t our problem, and most Conservatives who spew this rhetoric are against taking in refugees with some even further right being even anti-immigration as a whole. Would they even want more Nigerians entering the country or do they want the U.S. to take send aid?

People in the U.S. are especially against the genocide in Gaza due to how much of our tax dollars are spent on it. Is the U.S. funding the killing of Nigerian Christians?

    14. I’m no Mr woke, but imo it’s likely due to it being Africa and how the west kinda ignores Africa for the most part. The Christian part only adds onto why it’s being ignored. The west would rather support most other religions, even Islam (why Islam? Dunno…).

    15. Is anything going to be done about it by telling us? Nope. Gaza is a parking lot, what makes you think I can help Nigeria

    16. pathosOnReddit on

Hey OP, while I don’t disagree that Islam is breeding grounds for dangerous fundamentalism, can you tell me where in the Qur’an, the Hadiths or any Fatwa there is enforced conversion under threat of murder?

Who are we actually angry at? The dude who sells us some Shawarma on the street or the rapist tribal warrior who uses his faith to justify his atrocities?

    17. HotbladesHarry on

Real answer? No one expects anything from Nigeria or any of the standard African nations that have been disasters for our entire lifetime. None of those nations claim to be part of the Western World like other countries I can name.

    18. Christians are persecuted since day one, like jesus said just remember when they hate you, they hated me first.

    19. Invicturion on

As others have said,: Becouse they are black africans. „Nobody“ cares about them. By nobody, i mean media.
