UnionGuyCanada on 02.10.2025 1:37 a.m. It’s almost like there are tons of things Canada post does, that add value that aren’t considered before trying to gut it. CFIB had ot pegged at $76 million, a day, last strike for their business alone. https://www.cfib-fcei.ca/en/media/canada-post-strike-costs-canadian-small-businesses-76-million-per-day-1-billion-total-by-wednesday
canadient_ on 02.10.2025 5:27 a.m. I’m staff for a municipal election and can say It put a curveball in our plans. There will be a lot of people disenfranchised. We expected to start mailing out special ballots by now but instead electors have to come pick it up and drop it off at the office. Electors have to go online or call in to know where to vote instead of a voter card being sent out. Candidates can’t get literature out for their campaigns.
