He’s pissing them off. Good. So when it comes to refusing illegal orders, the Generals should have no problem telling POTUS „you cannot do that, and my oath is not to you. Buzz off.“

When a retired four star is speaking like this, he is dropping strong hints that his fellow retired generals and admirals as well as the current officer corps need to start making plans.
It really needs to come from those of his rank. Others want permission and he is giving it to them.
He’s like that all the time now! Maybe they haven’t watched a recent Trump speech before this. So, good news is “top military brass” have learned something…and they’re apparently not as terminally online as the rest of us.

Hopefully, if there are any senior leadership line officers considering pledging loyalty to Trump in hopes of reaping big rewards after the coup, they might reconsider in the name of self preservation after hearing this shit.
Doesn’t make them any less culpable when the trials begin, but it may mean the difference between a life sentence and capital punishment.

No one will do anything. The cabinet, save for Rubio and Vance, are too blindly loyal. Vance and every republican politician know that if they vote for that they know he’ll turn his cult on them. They would certainly lose their jobs, possibly their lives.
