    1. >The White House has not made any public overtures or promises of funding to support the drive for Alberta independence. Instead, what the APP expects based on the talks is that the U.S. will, upon conclusion of a successful referendum, provide recognition of an independent Alberta.

This is completely unconstitutional — a vote showing a „clear majority on a clear question,“ *begins* the negotiations between *all the provinces* and Ottawa. It would be the start of a years-long and tortuous process that at first glance has insurmountable barriers like the existing movement rights of all Canadians. This isn’t a fresh coat of paint on the walls, but a literal extinguishing of citizenship rights for millions of people (among other things).

The logic expressed in that quote is closer to sedition — illegally usurping the crown by making declarations of independence explicitly forbidden by federal law, the SCC and the constitution. Undemocratic as it fundamentally violates the democratically enshrined constitution, as well as the democratically elected legislature that passed the Clarity Act. It’s just less a fantasy, and more an incoherent fever dream where a mere referendum in a single province can–by itself–magically rewrite both the Clarity Act, multiple sections of the constitution and also fundamentally dispense with the rule of law.

Can we just arrest them for sedition already? Why are we playing games giving the US a backdoor to split the country?

It’s good know and have exposed that these people are directly in contact and cahoots with the people who want to annex us (as Trump re-iterated just yesterday).

At least our enemies aren’t subtle or secret. They are open about their hostile intentions.

      Govern yourselves accordingly.

When they lose the referendum, what will be their next steps?

Buying a bunch of land in southern Alberta and declaring their 5 acres a sovereign state?

These guys have been saying fantastical things about meetings with the Trump administration for months, and I frankly just don’t believe them.

I really hope they have considered this, but have they seen what happens to Russian collaborators in occupied Ukraine or Vidkun Quisling?

There is significant support for Canada in Alberta and I can’t imagine what will happen if they subvert Canada through illegal means.

    7. Conspiring out in the open with a hostile foreign entity who wants to annex us?

Are we just going to look the other way and pretend everything is status quo?

What the fuck is going on??
