    1. This might be some of the least beautiful data I’ve ever seen on r/dataisbeautiful

    2. Lol, you mean 70% of hedge funds were put to shame by the S&P 500 this year, again. And it’s the same on pretty much all years. And the composition of the 30% “winning” group of hedge funds changes every year, making it impossible to choose a “consistent winner”.

Essentially, hedge funds are a scam for rich people with no brains. The vibes of an MBA’d finance bro are a worse predictor of the future than an inanimate pair of dice or a monkey armed with darts and a Wall Street Journal. The un-MBA’d randos on wallstreetbets do about as well, but they don’t get paid millions to lose your money 😂😂😂

    3. These are professionally managed funds and 70% failed to beat the S&P 500, would be my take. A low cost ETF that tracked the index would have matched the S&P (less the low fees).

    4. Fuck man I beat most of these big brain big boys and All I do is buy Rklb at 45 and sell it at 55.

How did you account for short position in the hedge fund portfolios? 13F only shows you gross long on the end date of the quarter.

Moreover, how did you interpolate between quarterly filings? How do you account for short term positions that funds move in and out of in a matter of weeks?

Hedge fund #1 that has a whopping 1.68 million after 90% growth is pretty wild

who manages <1 mill in assets? thats like single boomers 401k level

    7. Just post the ones that will do it for the rest of the year, please! And state your warranty terms on that prediction.

What I see is 70% chance of paying more fees to make less money. Does anyone has a sustained win record? How many have beaten the market for at least 3 years in a row?
