They cut off his mic mid question. For me that’s much worse than the thing he said.
They really don’t like accountability do they?
The purpose of the Alberta Next panel was to pay themselves as nice paycheque to dart around the province promoting separation to their base. At no point was the UCP even open to changing their mind on this issue, this was simply a marketing campaign.
Fortunately with all the misinformation flooding into Alberta at the moment, the position is gaining traction, with unfortunate fools believing the rhetoric that our healthcare would be better, cheaper, and our taxes would be lower. Which is just outright false, but so is just about everything the UCP says to support any of their policies.
The corruption currently on full display, in the open, would be 100% illegal anywhere else in Canada, but thanks to the UCP changing the laws for themselves, things that where illegal 10 years ago, are legal today. Generally, government corruption is not limited to what is publicly available, so this is probably just the tip of the iceberg.
What are that chances if another government takes power that the UCP could be held legally accountable for their corruption while in power? I honestly think that’s something on the forefront of their minds when they flirt with joining the US.
