I lost respect for him for taking that blood money and disregarding the Saudi government’s human rights abuses

He performed for Turki Al Sheikh, head of the Entertainment Authority, whom a wing of al-Ha’ir prison ( where people are hung) is named after. For more information on him: [https://taj-rights.org/together-for-justice-calls-for-ending-cooperation-with-turki-al-sheikh-following-revelations-of-grave-human-rights-violations/](https://taj-rights.org/together-for-justice-calls-for-ending-cooperation-with-turki-al-sheikh-following-revelations-of-grave-human-rights-violations/)

Edit: Please don’t downvote the post, this post is NOT an endorsement of him. People need to see this.

      What a tool lol.

“I made a lot of blood money from an oppressive regime helmed by one uber rich family. Super positive! They wanna kill vulnerable and misunderstood groups there just like we do at home! So much in common!”

      Fuck this guy.

    3. He sounds very proud and happy to have taken part in this chuckle-washing scheme. I hope the money was worth being a dupe.

Are they Bill? Are they? Last time I checked we don’t give the death penalty to people for being gay

Wasn’t he recently just complaining about the billionaires and shit? Makes you think someone’s threatened him to do this much of a 180

      >“They’re just like us“

Yeah they’re still human just like us. It’s just that any sane person would agree those parts of human nature (Saudi gov) shouldn’t be legitimised and rewarded.

None of these comedians are living hand to mouth. Their decision to take the job is just pure greed.

Also, I can’t believe I’m asking this but after well publicised sportswashing is the Saudi Gov now pursuing a PR strategy of what we would call clownwashing?

    7. Sorry Bill, no they aren’t. Saudi Arabia is having a record year for beheadings, inc journalists critical of the government.

      https://www.hrw.org/news/2025/08/11/saudi-arabia-executions-surge-in-2025

„Saudi authorities have been carrying out an unprecedented surge in executions in 2025 without apparent due process, Human Rights Watch and the Middle East Democracy Center said today. The June 14 execution of Turki al-Jasser, a journalist known for exposing corruption within the Saudi royal family, raises concerns that the Saudi government is using the death penalty to crush peaceful dissent.

Saudi authorities had executed at least 241 people in 2025 as of August 5, with 22 executions in the previous week alone, according to the international human rights organization Reprieve. Reprieve reported that the number of executions in 2025 would exceed all prior records if executions continue at the same rate.“

I think Bill learned there are rich people and poor people and that he doesn’t have to pander to the poors any more.

    9. When comparing the evil the Saudi Arabian government does with the US there are arguments to be had (we’ve killed a lot of people around the world and destabilized entire regions)…but at the same time:

This is being put on BY the Saudi Prince, it’s not by and for Saudi citizens. I’d be just as mad at him if he did an event for Trump.

    10. Can’t lie. This sucks. I’m looking at comedians as one of the last lines. I’m guessing George Carlin doesn’t go. Oh well.

Just to be crystal fucking clear: this Interview, these anecdotes and magazine articles are exactly what the saudi royal family paid for.

Bill Burr is doing paid PR for the guy who funded 9/11. Tell your friends.

I’ve been over his self-righteous routine for a while. Every time I see a video of or headline about him, he’s on a soapbox about some shit, yet he’s perfectly fine with enabling human rights violations. Kick rocks, Billy.

Hey there Bill, what’s it like to take all that money from corrupt douche bags?

    14. He’s right. I look forward to him performing at the White House next. Because, you know, all that matters is breathing. No other differences.

Yeah sure they’re “just like us” in that they are human beings but nobody is claiming that the citizens of Saudi Arabia are a different species. That’s not the issue here. The problem isn’t even necessarily that he performed a gig *in* Saudi Arabia. The issue is that he performed a gig *on the payroll of a literal theocratic slave state that blew up the Twin Towers*. He was paid money by supervillains to do comedy at the supervillain lair. He didn’t get paid mid six figures to do a comedy show in Riyadh, he got paid mid six figures to have his face on a poster and make Saudi Arabia look like a normal country instead of a torment nexus built on the dead bodies of a million slaves.

    16. Imagine if Bill Hicks was alive today in his prime. He’d shit all over every one of them, worse than what David Cross did.
