Hallo zusammen!

Gotta love the unregulated home extensions
Honestly. If i had resources, i would definitely do something like this to my house😂. Like. Imagine youre having guests and youre just like “yeah you see that big ass grey box over there? Thats my extended apartment 🤩”

Have a look at these. I remember thinking that these townhouses look distinctly armenian
Mason building. Arches. Something akin to khachkars on either side of your driveway. Balconys.
This already looks Armenian af. You’re only missing bulging corners and cracks because Vzgo eyeballed it.
I will suggest dilijan house style: https://eurasia.travel/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/7.-Dilijan-Armenia.jpg
Or Goris house style: https://travelersanddreamers.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Goris-Old-town-architecture-1-of-1-2-1024×678.jpg
Damn, this building was in our archi project and we were so crazy, this is not the only example
Scary to think what’ll happen to those extensions and buildings in the next earthquake. Looks like no one learned anything from history
I’ve seen a lot of extensions on apartment buildings but holy shit adding two whole floors WITH an overhang and only on ONE SIDE of the building (look at the roof it doesn’t go over the other side) seems extremely dangerous. Theres no way these shoddy commie block apartment buildings were built to hold up that much weight.
Here’s a post with very Armenian home architecture: https://www.reddit.com/r/armenia/s/FkSdhaGGp1
Or you can just look up the architecture of Gyumri and Goris.
