I mean, obviously if you create a power vacuum someone else will fill it.

    2. This global order that’s existed since 1945, the one that’s so unfair and has treated China so badly. How does China pre-1945 compare to today? Is it better off? Are standards of living higher?

    3. It’s almost as if, and hear me out, that China representing the aspirational model for the future, is filling the void left by the previous model nation. One that is crumbling and introspective, a model of the troubled, opinion-led and increasingly unstable past.

But is it a sound aspirational model for the future?

China is no angel, don’t get me wrong. China is solely interested in what it can gain and extract. It’s foreign investments and BRI are extending supply lines back to the homeland. But at the very least, it represents a resolute, iron fist in a statesman-like velvet glove.

It too has an outright oppressive and totalitarian internal governance system. One that America is gradually inching towards. Ethnic minorities, whilst not deported are isolated and treated brutally. Personal freedom is under constant surveillance, and subservience to the Party is absolute.

It plays the long game, and also subverts democracies with both overt and subtle means. It relies on being understated and Machiavellian, rather than loud, crass and vulgar. It’s been subverting, raising, shoring up and destroying its own empires for millennia. Western nations are by comparison, babes in the woods at this game.

It’s establishing and reinforcing its place in the global power structure, using all means at its disposal, supplanting the previous de-facto global power.

Empire rise and empire fall. China knows this. Heck, their history is all about the rise and fall of Kingdoms and Empires. They know the game and how what they need to do to take advantage.

China 100% used TikTok to ~~buck~~ brain break Gen Z about Israel/Palestine to help Trump win. People siding with Palestine is fine, people psychotically valuing Palestine over everything else they purport to care about to usher in a fascist takeover of the US was suspicious to say the least. I wouldn’t be shocked if the entire October 7th attack/reignition of the war and subsequent propaganda storm about it was a joint venture between Iran-Russia-China.

Is there some reason why these articles don’t include an actual transcript or link to the speeches? Kinda want to see how the text looks like.
