      Trump will just add them to the terror watch list. Along with people who are not Christian, are not part of a traditional marriage, or criticize capitalism.

      The president always gets blamed when there’s a shutdown. That’s why Republicans love to do it during Dem presidents, and it’s why they’re projecting so hard that it’s anyone else’s fault.

      Shut it down. Shut it all down. It sucks and it will hurt people but *far more people will be hurt for far longer* under the current budget.

      Republicans are anti-American, anti-democracy, and anti-life. Let them own being the sand in the gears like they’ve bragged about for decades.

      Trump litterally wants a shutdown. His response to government shutdown was basically „oh no, I’m shaking in my boots“

      At some point Democrats are going to figure out something that many toddlers do: if you are going to constantly be blamed for something – e.g. stealing cookies – then you might as well go ahead and steal the fucking cookies.

      Democrats know full well that Republicans will be responsible for the shut down, and Republicans are going to blame Democrats no matter what.

      Really is something when the average person doesn’t even know Republicans have majorities in both the House and Senate and wouldn’t need a single Democratic vote to pass a budget bill.

      Also really tells you something when the Republican party is so inept they can’t even pass their own legislation when they control the entire government.

      Where’s that replacement for Obamacare again? Still waiting.

      Republicans have majority control all branches of government at the moment. They are responsible for all of their own failures in this regime.

      My perception is the GOP is accountable versus blamed.

      DOGE, mass firings, endless chaos all resulted in the mismanagement of government resources (people time and overall budget).

      Trump’s 2013 remarks during appearances on Fox & Friends, Trump criticized President Barack Obama’s leadership, saying:

      „A shutdown falls on the President’s lack of leadership. He can’t even control his party and get people together in a room. A shutdown means the President is weak“.

      He also stated that a shutdown would be „a tremendously negative mark on the President of the United States. He’s the one that has to get people together“.

      Trump also said, „The problems start from the top and have to get solved from the top. The president is the leader, and he’s got to get everybody in a room and he’s got to lead“.

      Republicans control every branch of government, right? How could anyone argue it’s Democrats fault?

      I would really love a Trump conservative to explain to me how democrats are to blame.

      You’d have to be blind, purposely obtuse, and operating on bad faith if you can’t see one side attempting to reach across the aisle while the other says our way or we fire federal workers performing essential/critical jobs, deny healthcare to even more people, and blow up the deficit even more.

      Good thing there aren’t any people in the blind, obtuse, intransigent camp.

      Think Independently. Think Objectively. A single party has control of White House, control of the Senate, control of the House and control of the Supreme Court, so if there is a shutdown it is not due to a handful of votes in the Senate.

      Regardless of the President, every single government shutdown I’ve lived through has been because of Republicans being petty and because it helped push the „Democrats can’t run the country“ narrative. 

      This time it’s because, month other things, they want to strip Healthcare from already marginalized groups. 

      So fuck ‚em.
